After switching from educating young children to IT I have more money than I know what to do with tbh.

Well if you're not driving around in a Porsche and don't have a million in the bank yet then you don't have enough money yet :D

I just got used to not spending money frivolously. I mean, I bought 3 asus pb278q monitors and that wasn't even one paycheck. Nothing left to upgrade really. My money just keeps going up, not really sure how professionals go broke, must take a lot of effort.

Not really a car guy, so I drive a very sensible 2012 civic.

There is money to be made in IT for sure. Getting certified is the best way to make big money in the field.

Cause after a while they start spending up out of their earnings. Doctors start building million dollar homes, buy Porsche's, etc and then forget about all the taxes and maintenance that comes with. It's what most people do no matter what the earn and it's usually helped by the ease of borrowing money.

If you are frugal, you can live a decent life. There is money to be made in IT but you definitely need to get certified.
