Tell us your favourite movie (or movies!) and why.

Being a huge fan of vampires and vampire based fiction, my favourite movie is of course, interview with a vampire. Based on the 1982 (i think) novel by anne rice. it stars tom cruise, brad pitt, antonio bandaras and a very young kirsten dunst (who's probably a better actress aged 9 then she is now >_>).

deffinately reccomend it for a long, darkly romantic movie.

Hm, this is hard. I think I'm going to have to go with Dr. Strangelove. It's such a classic, and is absolutely hilarious, even if it's not quite as relevant as it used to be.

"You can't fight in here gentlemen, this is the war room!"

Really, it's such a classic it's one of those films you just have to see if you like films in the slightest.

I fell asleep during that one...

Wouldn't know what to say to this question. I watch (and forget) way too many movies to have a favorite. Just watched Slumdog Millionaire though, and I must say it's superb.

Well I have a few favourites but one movie I have literally seen over 20 times has to be Black Hawk Down.

I know I know it's just an action war flick but its presentation, and execution is just superb.

So that one has to be my favourite movie of all time.

Others also include: Gladiator, Blood Diamond, Body of Lies, Shooter, Kingdom of Heaven, Taken, The Bourne Series, and a few others.

This is nearly impossible to answer, but there are some 'timeless' movies out there which include LOTR Trilogy, Star Wars, Matrix trilogy

My top 5 in no particular order

    Aliens
    Fight Club
    Terminator 2
    Seven
    Predator

Yes 2 Arnold movies. True Lies is also a classic. I also like the Hunt for Red October for some reason. :/ Lol

Call me crazy, and my dad always did but yes I like Aliens more then Alien for some reason.

My dad always said he liked Alien more because you didn't know what the Alien looked like so they kept it hidden for most of the movie which made it more scary. I agree with him, but the whole atmosphere of Aliens was just awesome to me for some reason.

Alien is definitely a close second though.

Alien had a more claustrophobic feel to it that made it a tad scarier than the 2nd one.

i didn't find aliens particularly scary, it was more a case of 'heres some soldiers with egos and big guns, watch them get picked off'

Alien just seemed too old school for me. I just really like the atmosphere of the second one.

Alright definitely in my top 5 has to be The Fifth Element. I watched it last night and its on again now and I'm watching it. Thats when you know you really like a movie and you can watch in the night before and the day after!

Chris Tucker is hilarious in that movie.

EDIT: Its Chris Tucker not Chris Rock. I always get them confused and I know other people to do because if you go to google and type this..."Chris Rock Fifth" you will it suggests "Chris Rock Fifth Element" and if you type in "Chris Tucker Fifth" it will suggest Chris Tucker Fifth Element." haha
